Welcome to Ruby Acorn. I’m Martha Thomas and I'm delighted you have visited my shop.

For over 20 years our family has been in nursery business.  

History

I love growing beautiful flowers & plants, and enjoy nurturing them from seed to bloom.  I’ve taken that passion and grown into my own business.  We have a strong family that runs our nursery in beautiful Colorado.  to beautiful flowers and plants. If you are here, chances are you share that love.  My family and I live in beautiful Colorado, where we run our beautiful nursery. 

Being a first generation Hispanic female business owner who is obsessed with the beautiful things Mother Nature creates.  I began creating and selling necklaces and bracelets that are inspired by nature.  My designs were frequently featured in publications such as Stringing Magazine and Bead Trends.  When I’m not at my table creating beautiful art you can wear, I am immersed in my garden.  

My love for a greener earth became a natural extension to expand my wares to include Grade A plants and bulbs.  I’ve had my ‘hands in the dirt’ since I was a child, helping my mother in her rose garden.  Because of her I have a soft spot in my heart for pink roses (her favorite!), and always will.  

I take great pride in what I do.  Your shopping experience with my shop is extremely important to me.  My goal is to delight you by offering only the finest, best grade products, and ensuring they arrive in your hands as quickly and securely as possible.  For ten years I have been perfecting my products and processes to ensure your experience with my shop is a genuinely fabulous one.    

My husband, Bill, shares my passion for nature.  His deep botanical knowledge can be traced back to his grandfather, who was a florist.  He brings technical savvy and excellent administrative skills to our business.  We are Ruby Acorn, and we hope you find something here that speaks to your soul, whether it’s a unique necklace reminiscent of a walk in the forest, handmade with love, or the perfect addition to your garden. 

Ruby Acorn is a Colorado based nursery.  For the past 20 years, we have shipped 1,000 of healthy live plants & flower bulbs.  Whether you need to fill a flower pot or entire flowerbed, we have the inventory to make your dreams come true.
