PRODUCT INFORMATION
Crocus blooms signify winter is coming to end and spring is just around the corner. They are one of the earliest bulbs to bloom, blooming very early in the season (February - March) for a duration of three weeks. Crocus 'Blue Pearl' makes up for her short stature (4 inches) with her gorgeous snowy white and light purple blooms. She is an excellent naturalizer and a great friend to butterflies and pollinators. She is a sun lover and prefers sandy well draining soil.
Referred to as Small Flowering Crocus, they provide cheer and beauty to your garden. They have a strong dislike of soggy wetness (wet feet).
Storage . . . Store flower bulbs in a cool dry spot with good air circulation and low humidity until you are ready to plant them. Most flower bulbs should tolerate temperatures between 38-70 F. However, you will want to protect them from heat, frost and strong sunlight. Your flower bulbs should be firm to the touch. Ideally, you should plant them right away.
Planting . . . Plant your Crocus bulbs in sandy, well drained soil at a depth of about two times the height of the bulb, spacing 2-3 inches. When planting, always place the pointed end up. When their foliage pushes through the soil in the spring, fertilize your Crocus bulbs with a general low-nitrogen fertilizer.
We package our bulbs carefully and ship them quickly from our greenhouse to you. They arrive safely, ready to plant and thrive in your garden! Because we want your plant to thrive, we include detailed plating instructions with each purchase.
